One of the more difficult injuries to diagnose is the exact cause of hip and groin pain. A multitude of diagnoses are possible with each having different treatment pathways. Drs. Verrall and Walker have both done research projects in this difficult area and see many “difficult to diagnose” patients. Dr Verrall is renowned worldwide as a hip and groin expert after multiple publications and co-wrote a chapter on groin injuries for the International Olympic Committee Hip and Groin Injuries book. Additionally he has attended and spoke at many International groin conferences including the 1st International Conference on hip and groin injuries in 2014.
Diagnosis is made by understanding the patients groin pain story, undertaking a full and comprehensive examination and the use of imaging and or other tests.

Treatment is generally dictated by the diagnosis and usually requires some activity modification, never rest, and an exercise program. A pdf of an exercise program that may be of assistance is shown here. Note that this exercise program is specific for certain hip and groin conditions and may not be suitable for you unless a proper diagnosis is made
The practitioners at SPARC look forward to working with you in this most difficult problem
