Courtney graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy (Honours) from the University of South Australia in 2022. She has worked primarily in a private practice setting, treating a range of acute/chronic sports injuries, neck/spinal pain, pre and post-operative orthopaedic rehabilitation, osteoarthritis management and clinical Pilates.
She trained for 15 years in dance, with a focus on classical ballet. She was inspired to turn her passion into a vocation by becoming a physiotherapist to help people prevent and overcome injury and feel their best. She has worked as a barre, reformer and mat Pilates instructor for over 6 years and is incredibly passionate about utilising safe exercise in management and recovery.
Courtney has developed a particular interest in the treatment of neck, lower back and pelvic/hip injuries and pain. She harnesses her knowledge and experience in clinical pilates and manual therapy skills to build and implement comprehensive rehabilitation plans that are tailored to individual clients.
Courtney has completed further training through the Australian Physiotherapy Association in physiotherapy management specific to adolescent dancers and pre-pointe assessments. She will also be working with the Women’s Norwood SANFL league team as one of their physiotherapists. She is passionate about ensuring the health and safety of dancers and other young athletes.
Courtney describes her treatment style to be patient centred and a combination of education, exercise, and manual therapy based on the latest and best evidence to help her clients get back to feeling their best. What Courtney loves most about Physiotherapy is making a lasting impact on the quality of people’s lives and helping them achieve their goals.
