Since graduating from the University of South Australia in 2018, Tom has balanced work in busy musculoskeletal clinics and semi-elite sport. He is currently the Head Physiotherapist for theLeague & Reserves players at Sturt Football Club (SANFL) and was previously the Physiotherapist for AFL umpiring in South Australia. Exposure to a variety of patients in this time has enabled him to fine-tune his skills in both accurately diagnosing problems and implementing effective and up-to-date, personalised rehabilitation programs.
Away from work, Tom is a keen middle-distance runner competing weekly in Athletics SA and South Australian Athletic League meetings over summer where he has won 3 Bay Sheffield sashes.
Tom is currently undertaking a Masters project at the University of South Australia under the supervision of some of the state’s top researchers. His project is investigating calf muscle strength as a risk factor for developing Achilles tendon pain in athletes.
